Love Rimurimu began in 2020 as an education programme delivered to four schools in Wellington. From these foundations, it grew into an active seaweed restoration project, expanding collaborations and gaining support across our community.
In 2025, we produced the Love Rimurimu Tool Kit on some of what we’d learnt along the way.
We've got 4 sessions coming up this winter that will introduce you to people involved throughout the project and resources you can access via the toolkit.
Join the students of Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Ngā Mokopuna and their Kaiako Renee Campbell, Zoe Studd, Jorge Jimenez (Mountains to Sea Wellington) and Te Atawhai Kumar (Te Aho Tū Roa.) as we talk about both the education and the community stream of the project: building knowledge, momentum and growing connections.
